AI Engineering Intern

Help build and extend the multi-agent financial automation platform that powers FinAdvantage AI. Work alongside senior engineers on the Python agents service, integrating new document processing and reconciliation tools into a production system used by accounting professionals.
What You Will Do
Assist in building and extending the Python agents service using FastAPI and LangGraph
Integrate new document processing tools including OCR and structured data extraction
Work with the reconciliation engine to improve matching accuracy across different file formats
Participate in code reviews and learn production-grade development practices
Contribute to testing and documentation for new features
What We Are Looking For
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field
Familiarity with Python and interest in AI or machine learning applications
Basic understanding of REST APIs and web services
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work collaboratively in a remote team environment
Nice to Have
Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar agent frameworks
Familiarity with financial accounting concepts
Exposure to pandas, NumPy, or other data processing libraries
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

Design and build agentic workflows for accounting automation at FinAdvantage AI. Work with our orchestration layer to coordinate multiple specialized agents, configure skill packages, and extend the pipeline executor that ties everything together.
What You Will Do
Design and configure multi-agent workflows for accounting automation use cases
Work with the orchestration layer to coordinate specialized AI agents
Configure and extend the skill package system and pipeline executor
Analyze workflow performance and identify opportunities to improve agent coordination
Document workflow configurations and contribute to knowledge base articles
What We Are Looking For
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or a related field
Interest in AI agents, workflow automation, or accounting technology
Basic understanding of Python programming
Strong analytical skills and ability to think in terms of processes and systems
Good communication skills for documenting workflows
Nice to Have
Coursework or projects involving AI agents or autonomous systems
Understanding of accounting or finance fundamentals
Experience with workflow tools or process automation
Familiarity with graph-based data structures and traversal
